I hope everyone had a relaxing time for Christmas, and more importantly, with family.
The world we live in can be viewed by physical, and metaphorical lenses. What I see in my camera as I meet with clients is twofold. I see you and what we’re creating together, and I also see what’s happened and is currently going on with your life a bit. You’ve managed to schedule this photoshoot in between working and going about your busy daily lives.
I can truly say it’s a pleasure to be a part of what you’ve been building up to or working towards, whether it be a diploma, or raising a family. It’s all a lot of work and dedication and I admire you all for it! We literally freeze in time, a piece of your life story that defines what you’ve accomplished or become at that moment in time.
It’s often a bitter sweet sigh of relief for parents of a graduate, and yet you’re a teary eyed mess at the same time! I see your love and commitment to your loved ones and I am deeply moved by it…every time!
Being your photographer, I feel I’m floating at the epicenter of your dreams that are unfolding into reality…you’re a graduate, or you’re a mom, sometimes a single parent! You made it! You’ve completed all the tests, projects etc. Parents have changed a thousand diapers, fed 5000 meals, called in sick to tend to to an ill kiddo who was in need of your love and support.
Life hasn’t given you all the breaks, but you continue to push forward for the ones you care for. Now here you are with me to capture all of that in creative photography!
I am here to say, I see you! I appreciate what you are! I’m ready to make this a moment for you won’t forget, to share with your family and friends for years to come!
This is 2023 now, let’s get serious!
Our year starts off with our senior rep program. Some of you may know or have heard of what we do with our senior reps and it’s been a blast the past few years.
The program’s original purpose was to familiarize students and parents with jennieivesphotography and draw in clients through the experience of our senior reps throughout the year. We had no idea how much fun it would be, or the bonds we would make with the students and their families, not to mention how well our reps have got along! So many have made new friendships because of meeting new people in the program.
We’re currently interviewing for Jennie Ives senior reps now and can’t wait to reveal the new team for 2023, the 2024 graduating class! Keep yourself updated on tik tok-instagram (insert all tags etc) to see what we’re up to, where we’ve been, and what our seniors will be creating together!
